Being Canadiam, I'm likely biased but most foreign visitors to the Niagara Falls area seem to find their way to the Canadian side. In fact, in recent years over 17 million tourists come to our side to marvel at the Horseshoe Falls
(which is all in Canada). Even the American Falls face the Canadian side, so the best views of both parts of the fabled cataracts can only be had from this side of the border.
We've been to the Falls more than a dozen times and have stayed in several of the hotels there. Of these, our favourites (because of their close proximity and spectacular views of the falls) are: the Oakes Hotel, the Hampton Inn at the Falls, the Renaissance Fallsview Casino Hotel, and the Doubletree Resort Lodge and Spa Fallsview. They're pricey but worth the money. For more information on these hotels and others on the Canadian side of the Falls, go to:http://www.niagarafallstourism.com/allhotels.htmland to:
