My nephew and his wife just returned from a year's visit to Australia. They brought back a wealth of wonderful memories of their travels across that far-away country. They also brought back many interesting brochures about special destinations, attractions and events. One that caught my eye concerne the Outback. So,if you happen to find yourself Down Under near the end of September this year, you might want to head to the Winton Outback Festival in Queensland. Held every second year, this exciting festival delivers all the unique events synomous with the bush - a ute muster, truckies' reunion, derby, whip cracking, iron man and women challenges as well as many other unusual activities typical to the Outback.
For more information on this unique festival which this year runs for five days from Sept.26 through 30, go to http://www.outbacknow.com.au
Sounds like a good one to try once I visit my relatives in AU! :)
God sounds good, last time I was Down Under I kept to the coast, like most people do. Would love to head into the heart next time I am there.
