Hawaii Airlines is adding flights to New Zealand & Australia
It might be nice to combine a Hawaii stop on your way to New Zealand!
Hawaiian will fly the Auckland-Honolulu route three times a week on 264-seat Boeing 767-300ER jets that seat 18 in business class and 246 in coach. Hawaiian says it will add nonstop service between Auckland and its Honolulu hub beginning March 13, a move that continues Hawaiian's aggressive international expansion and one that would make it the only U.S. carrier to fly to New Zealand. The Honolulu Star Advertiser notes Auckland "will mark Hawaiian's eighth new destination since expanding service in November 2010 to Tokyo."
Most recently, Hawaiian announced in June that it would begin flying to Brisbane, Australia. That destination will be Hawaiian's second in Australia. Hawaiian, which will offer three flights a week to Honolulu, will be the only U.S. carrier to fly to Brisbane.
And, in keeping with its theme of international expansion, Hawaiian also announced plans to upgrade its Seoul-Honolulu flight schedule to daily service.
