Please fix clock!!!
LL, please fix the clock for the Mystery Auctions!! The clock for the Eastern European auction continued to restart back to 4+ minutes well after the original sale expiration time, therefore, resulting in an additional $250 increase in the final bid amount ($600 vs $850). This is not fair to anyone. Please fix before the next Auction.
khowell--please read the instructions for the auction bidding. It IS fair because everyone has the 5 minutes right to present a bid after the previous person bids. No sniping allowed. I have seen mystery auctions continue for 3 hours past the original time, utilizing the "5 minute fairness" option.
Hope to see you more often in the Lounge--we'd love to hear about your travels and experiences.
I've read all of your posts and maybe you need to ask more questions before you bid. There are lots of us who can assist, but I doubt that most of us will tell you the name of a mystery auction property--many people figured it out--just takes some scouting on the website and a little effort on your part. Why would we tell you if we're bidding on it, too?
You get lots of clues on most auction. Good luck on the next one.
My Mistake, not LL!!
MY mistake, as I was completely unaware of the 5-minute bidding rule. When I opened the Bidding Instructions - which I did clearly read, mind you!! - the last paragraph which states the 5-minute rule did not pull up on "my" screen.
Glad you found that. Stick around and let us know when you do win an auction--mystery or otherwise. Always welcome here!
PS--my other motto is please don't bid against me!
