I tend to agree with you. Copper Beach Inn in Ivoryton, CT it is!
Unfortunately, the bid sits at $761 with 1 day 4 hrs to go. The auction was unnecessarily bid up from $505 to $750. Unfortunatley, people still have not understood that the "real" bidding only takes place around the deadline. To bid $250 two or 3 days before the close of the auction is pointless and only drives up the price unnecessarily. If you want to bid $250 do so at the close of the auction and you you have a better chance of winning the auction..... These are DOLLAR auctions, why bid up the price with a $250 plus bid early on.
"The sobriquet, the Nutmeg State, is applied to Connecticut because its early inhabitants had the reputation of being so ingenious and shrewd that they were able to make and sell wooden nutmegs. Sam Slick (Judge Halliburton) seems to be the originator of this story. Some claim that wooden nutmegs were actually sold, but they do not give either the time or the place."
Ivoryton, CT took its name from the ivory industry set up here by the Comstock family, who imported tusks to be shaped into covers for piano and organ keys.
