I always wondered if the hotel accepts certain dates based on availability alone or if they have other criteria to triage auction purchases.
I had an issue with one of my bookings...it was for the month of August. When I had called the property they said that they don't have availability for LL packages the entire month. (Their booking site showed availability for those specific rooms and the hotel ended up being half empty during our stay.) After informing them that the package was specifically for that month and agreeing to any 3 days they could offer in August, they confirmed the dates and I rerouted a 4 week road trip.
I think that it depends on the hotel. I've never had a problem in the past booking a room using a Luxury Link package, so this is the first time. I've booked many places during high season so I think most hotels will honor the package no matter what time of year if they have availability.
