Smaller airplane toilets on the horizon?
Is it possible to have even smaller airplane toilets? Evidently so! And no, it's not a Ryan Air thing this time. Delta is one of the first carriers to order new on-board lavatories that will be smaller than the 3 x 3 dimension lavatories currently widely in use on airplanes. On their new 737-900 planes, this will allow Delta to squeeze 4 more seats in the coach cabin. This article says that supposedly passengers will not notice the smaller size.
And it says the wall will be "sculpted" to allow the seats in front of the lavatory to recline. I wonder how that is going to work?
The article says other airlines are expected to follow along. Another example of the race to the bottom? Who will win the race?
