Right now, a trip to Remota is not only remote is probably out of the question. I am starting to think Peru will not work until at least October or November. Some times it is not fun running your own business.
Hi M...well, I think Bolivia is out of the picture at this point. For a "nice" tour from Atacama Chile, the price isTOOOOOOOO high...I cannot justify it! Plus, as you said, the conditions are quite primitive. So, we will just look at Valapraiso, Atacama, and possibly the central valley to visit vineyards. Have you looked at accummulating frequent flier points for your trip? I think Delta is having a promotion to receive 100% bonus when you buy points. Also, try to go off season up to November or after March 1. Have fun planning!
bonniejoy03, did you finally decide not to include Bolivia in your upcoming trip? If you are going, remember, they really stick it to Americans with their $135 visa fee.
Residents of most other countries only pay around $25.
No Bolivia this trip. The price was so crazy!!! I think it was around 1000 per person for 3 nights!! This is in minimal accommodations, etc. I think we will do Bolivia as a stand alone trip at some time. I wasn't aware of the visa fee. Is this new? We have the visa for Chile so we won't have to pay this year...weo! (getting our moneys worth of the Chilean visa!)
