I get lots of brochures from this cruise line but have never used them - they are a bit more expensive than the average cruise line but have some interesting destinations. This itinerary looks really nice:
depart from either Lima, Peru or Valparaiso, Chile
cruise the Pacific
Robinson Crusoe Island
2 days cruising the Pacific
2 days at Easter Island
Maybe LL could work with this cruise line to have some packages and then I would consider cruising again. There were many interesting cruises in the last brochure. Anyone every go on Oceania? They also include airfare with many of their cruises.
Sounds like a nice itinerary. I might be game if LL would offer something like this.
Denise, how many days in total is this cruise?
I've cruised several times but not on this cruise line.
15 day cruise - it was just such an interesting choice of stops - even with the sale prices listed in their brochure it is expensive, however, it includeds the airfare but they usually get wholesale rates on airfare so I do not think that would make the price high and it did not include any tours like some of the luxury lines do. Looks like lots of great restaurants on board and it is open seating.
they had lots of cool itineraries
Wow, that does look amazing. My aunt and uncle did a cruise in Tahiti last year and loved it.
Cruises are not my favorite but for that itinerary I think I would consider it. I would go for the Easter island visit alone!
Easter Island is what caught my eye and this cruise line is supposed to have some of the best dining afloat - gets awards and one of their ships has a Jacques Pipan restaurant.
I just started getting brochures from Seabourne and they have some interesting itineraries also - I don't know where they are getting my name to mail me this stuff but they can keep it coming - helps keep the dreams alive!
Hi D.....how many passengers on the ship? What kind of prices for the above? Very nice itinerary.
The new CN Traveler issue has comprehensive cruise articles--river and dream ships. It's almost too much to read in one sitting.
Hi K...if you see anything in the article about Galapagos trips, please pass it on. I think we are going in 2013. Though....we really want a tiny boat; maybe no more than 40 people. I have been looking at the Luxury Cats. Not sure if they would be included in the article...
bj, I too in interested in a Galapagos trip but for us it may be 2014. Of course, there is Linblad but I think they have quite a few more passengers than what you want.
Here's a firm offering luxury catamarans with private balconies - Haugan Cruises.

What month or time of the year are you thinking of going? And how many days do you want on the cruise?
