VIENNA - AUSTRIA - MUSEUM FR VLKERKUNDE -- To Sept 28: "Tutanchamun und die Welt der Pharaonen." An assemblage of more than 70 artworks excavated in Tutankhamen's tomb in the Valley of the Kings, near Luxor, and 70 additional artworks from other ancient burial sites of other pharaohs and notables. They span 2,000 years of Egyptian history from 2600-660 B.C. Of note, a three-meter-high statue of King Tut, and one of the four canopic urns that contained his mummified internal organs. Some of the funds raised by the exhibition will go to the preservation of Egypt's monuments.
