We purchased apackage at Hotel Lord Byron from Luxury Link for 3 nights this past October. The package included breakfast each morning and a choice of a Vatican Museum tour or an ancient Rome walking tour or Trastevere & Jewish Ghetto walking tour. We opted for the Vatican Museum tour and were absolutely thrilled with our tour guide, her passion for history and depth of knowledge.
The hotelis located in the quiet Parioli district, a stone's throw from the Villa Borghese. This small, 32 room property was once a patrician villa. It is now surrounded by foreign embassies and stately homes.
In addition to the lovely Borghese Gardens and Gallery - Palazzo Barberini, National Gallery of Modern Art, Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia and the Auditorium Parco della Musica are in close proximity.
You are 15 minutes away (by foot) to the Via Veneto - the famous street known for its upscale hotels, boutiquesand sidewalk cafes.
The hotel's Art Decodecor is a unique architectural gem which houses abeautiful collection of art - that of beautiful women. Both public areas and rooms showcase magnificent pieces of furniture and art. Dark wood furnishings are highly lacquered, adding a sense of romance to every corner of the place. You are immersed in a deeppoetic ambiance thatis indicative ofthe Leading Small Hotels of the World of which the Lord Byron is a member.
Oh, the service is impeccable too. And the complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations.
