Having now completed my third safari, all purchased thru LL, I need to acknowledge and offer kudos to Julian Asher, one of the original LL community members.
With jashermd's assistance, enthusiasm and shared experiences, I may never have bought my first safari. I can elaborate but the moment I actually arrived at Tuningi Lodge at Madikwe, I fell in love with the concept of "safari".
I can never hope to replace Dr. Asher's expertise about traveling in Africa nor his insight
Before going to Cancun for Spring Break with my wife, daughter and daughter's friend, I spent a lot of time searching Luxury Link, Trip Adviser, and other travel websites to find the ideal hotel for our stay. We had never been to the Yucatan and I wanted this to be the perfect vacation. I had found a room for the last few nights of our trip, but not the first four. I had already rec'd info about the tented lodges not being available and they offered to upgrade us to all 4nts in the thatched chalets. I really wanted to do the tent split, but not this time. (MAYBE LL will have made a deal with Marataba Lodge in Lipopo for our NEXT safari???--OOOH a FLY-IN pkg would be outstanding!!)
Last week we were visiting friends in Warren, Vermont and stopped by at the Pitcher Inn, which Luxury Link currently has on its auction offering list. To stroll along the 3+ miles of Ogunquit Beachhigh tidelow tideon or off shore breeze, it is one of lifes simple pleasures.
