Sometimes it's "little things" in your habitación - like a bottle of chilled champaña and a machine for a perfect cup of espresso.
Muchos aplausos, Keating Hotel!
That's the biggest in-room espresso machine I've ever seen.
Most of places I stay offer one of those little Mr. Coffee models, where you pour in the water at the top and use a coffee packet, usually sitting on the bathroom counter - and of course, a couple of nice plastic or styrofoam cups.
Guess I'm not drinking enough Italian Lavassa coffee.
I shop at Kroger's or Wal-Marts and I don't think they carry that brand.
On the other hand, I have sipped a bit of Moët, back when the economy was doing a little better - these days, it is mostly beer, whatever is on sale.
Was the champagne also a treat????
Pretty big machine for a teeny weeny cup. I prefer the grape juice to the right of the photo.
.....well, it's 'price' 'level of luxury' and 'perks' that keep calling us back to Luxury Link....sometimes espresso and bubbly can sweeten the deal as well!
I love having "kitchen" things in my room - refrigerator especially but microwaves and coffee makers are nice too. Ironing boards and irons are a nice plus, bathrobes, slippers, free mini bar, although I am not much of a drinker so this is not a big deal for me, breakfast delivered free to your room each morning - had this at the Lumina in Mexico city and Jicaro in Nicaragua delivered coffee/tea and muffins each morning at 6am if you wanted it before the main breakfast time
Interesting difference between Jicaro and http://www.morgansrock.com/beach-accommodation-nicaragua.html -
http://www.morgansrock.com/nicaragua-ecolodge.html offered a sign up sheet at their bar each evening, if a guest wanted coffee service delivered. They, however, would not deliver food and discouraged having food in the villas, since they did not wish to attract insects.
We enjoyed having a carafe of freshly brew coffee available in the exterior door pass-thru each morning as a wake-up notice.
I agree O!!!! We stayed at Morgans Rock a few times and LOVED the delivery to the room through the door! It was STRONG coffee!!! We loved relaxing in the morning and enjoying the beautiful views with a great cup of coffee. We also were given a small cooler to bring beer up to our room at night. And I love those flash lights!!!
Hey bonniejoy03, did they give you the beer to go in the cooler or did you have to buy it. Nice to have a cooler, but useless it isn't full of good stuff.
I don't drink a lot of coffee, but the few cups I take have to be powerful enough to start my engine!
Hi M....The beer was included in the price!!!! In the very beginning of the lodge, I believe rum was also included. (we didn't partake in the rum, only the beer!)
The coffee could really be good strong!! It made it easier than to get back down the hill to the restaurant!!!
We liked the coffee so much, we arranged to acquire some of the roasted beans which come from the owner's coffee plantations in Matagalpa....we brought back just under 3 kg...and still think about the view of the Pacific when we indulge on some mornings.
I am not a coffee drinker but the hubby loves the stuff and he came back from Nica with his usual coffee loaded carry on bag! He says the Nica coffee is almost as good as the Costa Rican stuff
