Often visitors only pass through or possibly spend one night in Cusco on their way to or from Machu Picchu.
This remains one of the great historic cities in Peru. A place for exploring - plazas, cobbled stone streets, restaurants and pubs, busy markets, ongoing preservation projects and a perfect base for venturing out in search of ancient Inca ruins.
Two years ago we were in Cusco and stopped by the Hotel Monestario

Uncharacteristic of LAN, our 1:00am departure from Miami International aboard #2511 was delayed and then delayed again.
Of course, the complementary Haagen-Das dulce de leche ice cream in the VIP Lounge was an unexpected treat and helped pacify the situation. I guess there are no bad times to peruse the Luxury Link website for travel ideas - almost anytime will work.

Hard to top One Bal Harbour Resort & Spa, if you are looking for the perfect luxury get-away location in South Florida. The complex is a combination of high rise private residences and hotel room/suites. We were on the 11th floor (there are only two accommodations per floor, a suite and a guest room) and enjoyed both an ocean view and a view across the bay.
Directly across the street are the fabulous Shops of Bal Harbour and an assortment of top restaurants
