Just returned from Chile and Uruguay. What a trip! This was our first time driving in South America. We never realized how important (or unimportant) a map could be.

We continue to enjoy a variety of exotic destinations and interesting properties through Luxury Link. However, sometimes, it's just as much fun to take a min vacation in our own backyard.

I have always found Belize to be a fascinating little country with a more Caribbean than Latin influences. On this our 3rd Belizean adventure, we chose to explore the more remote southern Toledo district. Most tourists (or whatever you want to call yourself) do not travel further south than Placentia which apparently is the hot new destination in Belize. Hard to top One Bal Harbour Resort & Spa, if you are looking for the perfect luxury get-away location in South Florida. The complex is a combination of high rise private residences and hotel room/suites. We were on the 11th floor (there are only two accommodations per floor, a suite and a guest room) and enjoyed both an ocean view and a view across the bay.
Directly across the street are the fabulous Shops of Bal Harbour and an assortment of top restaurants

We stayed at the Liaison hotel for our 2nd annual Memorial Day trip to Washington DC by taking advantage of a nice Luxury Link package which included 2 nights, breakfast, $50 dining credits each day, and an experience kit (we chose the walking tour kit) and taxes.
After a quick train ride from Philadelphia, we arrived at Union Station DC around 11:30am and a short walk later (3 blocks) we were checking into the hotel. Check in was quick and Christian, the very nice intern at reception,
