Over the past 35 years our travels have taken us to most corners of the USA and Canada. My wife and/or I have also had the fortune to visit a number of destinations in Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, South America and Europe. But never have we experienced such extraordinarily beautiful scenerery, natural majesty and breath-taking landscapes as we did in late September 2007 on our road tour along the spectacular Icefields Parkway in the Candian Rockies.
The slogan on the BVI license plates says "Nature's Little Secrets" and Guana must be one of the best-kept secrets in the Caribbean. Guana Island is an 850-acre privately owned island. The 1842 Inn was no disappointment. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 1842 Inn is located in a charming residential district. With an athmosphere straight out
In the Adirondacks great camps and cozy cabins dot a vast wilderness of magnificent mountains and lakes. Historic inns offer legendary hospitality and dining amid rustic elegance.
Even though the Adirondacks are almost in our backyard, in late September, we took a 5-Day break and let the Adirondacks, with its lush forests, sparkling lakes and majestic mountain peaks provide the magnificent backdrop for some culinary adventure.
