Just returned from a weekend getaway at the Liaison. We had stayed there last year in summer. This hotel is located within a few blocks of the Capitol. It is a pet friendly property. (*note-there had never been a pet fee but we were asked to pay one on this visit! We said that we had verified there was no fee. The fee is new so they didn't charge us but said they would charge us in the future.)
Our room was on the 3rd floor (pet friendly floor.) Nice room with sofa and king bed. No view but we weren't expecting a view. Our Luxury Link package included two free drinks, free breakfast, free internet, and $50 food and drink credit per day. Unfortunately we were unable to use the dining/bar area the first night due to a private party. We were a little disappointed but instead went to The Dubliner Irish Pub. Quite nice and just a few blocks from The Liaison.
We enjoyed our time in DC. Perfect weather and not a lot of tourists compared to the summer. We were able to walk and drive with ease. We enjoyed the huge breakfasts at the hotel restaurant, Art & Soul. In the evening we enjoying using our food credits for casual dining in the bar area. Our pup was the hit of the lobby. She just enjoyed watching everyone pass. We could enjoy a drink in the lobby while sitting with her.
The staff, specifically Ashley, head of housekeeping, surprised us with freshly baked pastries AND bathrobes for an anniversary gift!! What a surprise. Ashley was then available for us in the lobby as we discussed DC, the hotel, and all of our travels. She is DEFINITELY as asset to the hotel!!
All in all, we had a fantastic getaway to one of our favorite cities. The Liaison was a great place to spend a few nights. Thank you LL for offering this property!!!
